Question for Readership

OK, here's a question to ponder, and I'm just curious about your responses, reader:

What keeps you getting up every morning?

Read it as you will and respond as you feel. Use comments, or drop me an email using the link at the bottom of the page.

  1. For me, it is enjoying life. On the days I have to work, I know I do that so I have the money to enjoy my life... paying for things I want/need and being able to take care of that special someone in my life. On the days I don't have to work, I have learned that each day is a gift and I try to enjoy my friends and family. I truly enjoy life and do my best to make the most of it.

  2. Usually it is the pup breathing in my face to go out, if not that then it is the mortgage, the car payment, the bills... oh yea, and my desire to go out and make this world a better place for my fellow person...

  3. I was going to go with the spiritual,or the snarky, (my alarm clock!! the Daylight!!), but I see they've both been covered already.

The true answer is, I just don't mind.

I wake up (without an alarm) typically at 0530, and read blogs, drink coffee, and watch the news. My cats wander in and say "Hey!!" and I rub them. After an hour or two, I wake TheHusband and shower for work. I don't have to work, I LIKE to work.

None of this has always been the case. There was a time when I was quite depressed, and had no idea what direction I was going.

But, with medication, I was able to see through the clouds, and move on.

And then, get off the (depression) meds, once again, enjoying (most of) life.

  4. 9 time out of 10 it's Sydney standing next to the bed doing her little whine-bark and the clock reading anywhere between 4 and 5:15 AM.
