So much language discussion. Bj laments my critique of the word "alas" in the following sentence: "Alas, there is a solution!" From what I see, "alas" means an "expression of sorrow, regret, grief, compassion, or apprehension of danger or evil." If it were such a sorry thing, why would she suggest that Merchandise would still be coming soon? I feel oddly struck down, e.g., "Alas, poor Eric, we knew him well."
Of course, I forget, this from the blogger that thought "Ackkkk!" was a significant enough warning the first time she posted about a blogger of similiar name but dissimiliar intentions. (See the relevant post from her archives.)
