Words

I have a love-hate relationship with words.

I use them for my livelihood, and have discussions with peers over proper usage and communication to avoid misunderstanding.

At other times they fail me. Either they don't come, or maybe a nearly random stream comes, or sometimes, words come that don't quite express what I was trying to say. Yesterday's entry falls in that latter category, and yet I cringe at the revisionism of trying to edit what I wrote. (Even though I can do so, and have in the past to correct grammar or spelling or bad links/HTML, I question the integrity of removing my post entirely, as I am somehow tempted.)

Today, I scoured the thesaurus for words that wouldn't come on their own. The stream that I followed went along the lines of "insignificant, piddling, moot," and I still haven't found the exact word I want.

I have never been to New York City, the Pentagon, or the south-central Pennsylvania countryside; nor do I know that I know anyone in these locales. But suffice it to say that in view of yesterday's events, and especially some of the observations I have seen web-wide, suddenly my rants or commentary on my lunch box or what-have-you seem _____ (insert the word I'm looking for here...), and, for good or bad, everything just seems to fall into perspective.
