24 December 1991 - Christmas Eve

It seems odd to write "Christmas Eve" as the date. I don't feel like it is. Something meaningful is missing. The Christmas displays at the malls have been up since mid-October, so they herald nothing unique by now. Christmas music is my favorite year-round, so hearing it on the radio is not new....

Things may not be quite so dreary, but it sure isn't obviously Christmas Eve to me this year, either. Maybe the fact that it was still managing to be in the 80's last week, but I think I've adapted to Florida better than that. Ah, well. I'll manage.
