I've seen the light(s)

This morning I realized that my morning commute has gone from zero stoplights to nine (9). I realized that when the first 3 I hit were red... then the next one was green, and the next turned green just after I stopped behind traffic, and the next one turned yellow as I went under it. (sigh)

I also discovered the apparently the office lights are on timers. I'm used to getting to work just ahead of 8:00 a.m., but could not find light switches. Magically, the lights came on at 8. Here, the early bird works in the dark.

By the way, I now completely renounce any appreciation of Standard Time. Whereas it was light when I got up the week after the change, I'm now back to getting up in just as much dark as before.
