There's a Word For This...

Before, I had mentioned how a post-Christmas thank-you card sent to my grandparents was returned as undeliverable; no one had remembered to tell me they had closed their PO Box. Yesterday, UPS delivered 2 boxes to me, and my own parents had mis-written my street name. When I called to let them know the packages had been delivered, I casually mentioned the error—only to find that the errant address was actually in the family address book. Sheesh.

Equally entertaining, though, was that both packages were shipped together, and both went out Tuesday morning on the same truck, but only one was delivered Tuesday. The other was sent back to the distribution center to have its address corrected. And I didn't notice the packages were even there, since I never use the front door. If I hadn't been tracking it on UPS.com, I might not have known they were there yet.
