Can I Call-In "Too Much Work"?
Well, I called in sick on Monday, perhaps the first time I have done that in years. I definitely needed just that extra day of rest (and, in fact, took an unplanned nap in front of the TV Monday afternoon). I had been pondering some witty blog about the experience, or one about the Oscars, or one about how Monday was the 9th anniversary of my one-and-only earthquake experience, a 5.6 for those in the know. All are lost to the mists of my brain-fog.
I came back Tuesday to a 9-10 meeting, a 1-2 meeting, a 1:30-2:30 meeting (note the overlap), and then a 5-7 meeting for which I arrived an hour early for setup. Wednesday brought a 9-11 meeting offsite, then an 11:30-4 "Cross-U" shift, which definitely still deserves its own blog entry. Today I had an 8:30-1:30 offsite meeting, which I (through no fault of my own) had to park approximately 1.7 miles away for—bad enough at 8:25 to have to power-walk to, but even worse, as the return trip to my car was through an Easter-week-busy Theme Park (not that I'm complaining it's busy—please, come spend your money, create a paycheck for me).
Now, I have a list of about 5 big "to do" items due, in various priorities, by the end of the day, just 2 hours from now. So what do I do? Blog, of course. Sheesh.
