Dewayne noted again that it was my birthday, and that of at least three others. In fact, the old reliable IMDb has a whole page on it, including March 5 deaths. Ew.

My sister sent me an e-card, and a gift certificate to powells.com, the online presence of the downright best bookstore ever. If Amazon.com says they can get a book for you in 2-3 days, they're probably getting it from Powells.

The Birthday Dinner was at Charley's Steakhouse (site has sound, but: yum), and then, a swing by ye olde country club, where we enjoyed the sights of the bartender (also yum). Today, the co-workers took me to Chili's for lunch (and dessert - oh my), and gave me a gift card to Starbucks. Quite the pleasant time.
