Déjà Vu Again

I've spent most of my free time in the past two weeks mixing CDs. I've made CDs in the past — I actually quite enjoy it — and this time I'm actually able to mix (or "crossfade") between tracks. It seems to take me about 20 minutes to make each crossfade. (I'm a perfectionist.) This round, I discovered I'd collected enough material to make 2 CDs, and yesterday, I finalized the 2nd CD. Usually, I make copies for a few friends, but after some printing snafus (highly techie, but hover if you care to know more), I only managed to make 1 set beyond the "beta" discs I'd made the day before.

So I'm listening to the beta of Disc 2 here at work, when my phone rings. I pause the music and answer, it's Dan; but oddly enough, I can still hear the same song. In the background. On the phone. Seems he's found the only truly complete copy of Disc 2 already and is testing it out. Ahem.

Me: "You're listening to my new CD."
He: "Which one?"
Me: "Disc 2. Track 2."
He: "<laughs>When do I get one?"
Me: "I think you already have it."

Regardless, I hope to make at least one additional set tonight, if not more. Planned run is (at last count) 6 sets by the time I'm done.
