Discussing Items You Shouldn't

As if to underscore Bj's "sore thumb of Florida" theory, yesterday voters:
  • Re-elected a governor who accused his opponent of intending to raise taxes, while suggesting he had "devious plans" (most likely including a tax increase) to pay for two constitutional amendments, which were approved by the voters on the same day,
  • Elected an attorney general who took three tries to pass the state bar exam, based solely (from what we can tell) on name recognition and party affiliation, and
  • Re-approved a constitutional amendment from four years ago that solidified the death penalty as OK in Florida, but was struck down by the state Supreme Court for vague language. This time it was so specific, and so long, that it cost the counties extra postage to mail sample and absentee ballots.
At least nothing went "horribly wrong" with the actual process this time around.
