There's A Word For This

Renaming "French" Fries and "French" Toast? Suggesting Disney close the France pavilion for a while? Criticising "Old Europe" governance? It's called "jingoism," folks, and it ain't pretty.

And...

According to way-down in this article at cnn.com, the FAA has set Disneyland and Walt Disney World as no-fly zones for the duration. I think this is supposed to make me feel more safe, but, like the trunk-and-ID checks at Disneyland every time we parked the car, it just reminds me that even the US Government thinks I'm a fool to be there.

(By the way — I think our nearest air base is Tampa. They couldn't scramble fast enough to prevent a small plane from flying into a building in downtown Tampa, mere blocks from the base, 14 months ago. How the heck are they going to respond to someone violating a 3-mile protected radius around Disney World, when the base is 70 miles away?
