I hate to move. Seriously. I told Dan once that if he wanted to sell the house before five years were up, he'd have to include a clause that allows me to continue living there without him.
Perhaps the time is coming. From the Florida Department of Transportation's Web site, listing impending construction affecting my daily commute:
Near-Future Construction
US 27 - Resurface 13.9 miles northbound from the Polk County line to SR 50. Bids were received May 21, contract awarded June 18.
Other Projects Pending
I-4/US 192 Interchange - Construction of improvements is funded in FY 03/04 at an estimated cost of $66.5 million.
US 27 - Design for six-laning 3.7 miles from the Polk County line to Boggy Marsh Road ... is in progress. ... construction planned in FY 04/05 at an estimated cost of $35 million.
US 192 - Six-laning between the Lake and Osceola County lines. Right of way acquisition is complete. Construction is not yet funded. The 1.7 miles is to be resurfaced in FY 05/06 at an estimated cost of $1.5 million.
In other words: We've lived there 3 years now, and there will be road construction starting almost immediately and lasting until 3 years FROM now. Ugh.
