Squelch

Here's something I never thought I would write, and hope never to write again:

There is absolutely no reason for me to go vote tomorrow.

I take voting seriously. It's one of those things my parents instilled in me (even if I'm not voting the party of their choice). But there is only one item on the ballot in my precinct tomorrow: Democratic Presidential Nominee. Given that Kerry has already "won," there is no reason for me to bother with the rigamarole. This year, my voice means nothing in the primary process, and I'm not talking about Florida's elections department issues. The outcome was decided by all the serious candidates dropping out already.

Of course, someone forgot to tell HRC. I got an email tonight admonishing me to go vote tomorrow. They also say, "HRC is likely to make an endorsement in the Presidential race after the field of candidates is clearer." I'm not sure how much clearer it can get, but, OK...

I consider it an extra half hour of sleep.
