Another burst of cold weather in Florida, and the warm clothes come out from hiding yet again. For most of us, that involves sweaters and jackets. For two random individuals out dancing at the club last night, that meant leather pants (or some reasonable facsimile thereof). One had topped it off with a black turtleneck and lightweight black leather jacket — to go dancing. (Fashion before comfort, I suppose.) Both of these guys were cute enough in their own rights... as long as you never looked at the pants, which just did not make sense.
Now, I enjoy seeing attractive people wearing leather clothing as much as (OK, maybe more than) the next guy. However, I can not name even once that I have seen someone in leather pants (or shorts, this being Florida) and thought, "that looks really good." I'm thinking leather pants are either stunning (on the right overall physique) or just plain wrong. Maybe the overall presentation matters more than just the pants, or maybe, just maybe NO guy can really manage leather pants as a fashion item.
That said, I'm willing to be proven wrong...
In my book, leather pants are not a fashion item - they are an aphrodesiac! LOL!!!
