As I mentioned last time, this weekend holds the spring concerts for the local gay chorus. I just realized today, that this weekend is also the change to Eastern Daylight-saving Time — you know, the "spring forward" thing.
In what I presume to be a nod to Gay Standard Time, our evening concerts always begin at 7:35. On Sunday, the performers are expected to arrive by 6:30 — meaning that anyone who forgets to fiddle with the clocks after our Saturday night show will arrive just as we take places to go on stage. (Any patrons who miss the time change might just arrive in time for intermission!)
In a chorus that's more than 75% gay men, something tells me it's not a matter of if anyone will do this, but who.
And this person's initials would be J. S.? ;-)

ReplyDeleteAnon: actually, they took that picture last spring, before I joined. Thanks for the well-wishes... and the Star Trek thing was a riot, I didn't know they were going to give the soloist a "costume."
