Don't Look Behind You

As Dennis passes by (and continued the tradition of overnight, over-the-weekend hurricane-related storming), and the world's attention is focused on the poor Alabama/Florida Panhandle coast... the National Hurricane Center has this little tidbit to consider:
TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
530 AM EDT SUN JUL 10 2005

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

A TROPICAL WAVE LOCATED ABOUT 1300 MILES EAST OF THE LESSER ANTILLESS HOWS SOME SIGNS OF ORGANIZATION. CONDITIONS APPEAR FAVORABLE FOR SOME SLOW DEVELOPMENT OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AS THE WAVE MOVES WESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH.
Computer models seem to imply this one is headed toward Puerto Rico, and after that, who knows?

  3. I was relieved. It was a lot less than what the news was forecasting. Now if we can avoide any others the rest of the year we'll be happy.
