A leftover bagel sat on a paper towel by the toaster in our office kitchen for most of the day. Next to it, a stack of foam coffee cups; just beyond, a cup of soda. I'm guessing that one interrupted task led to another, ultimately resulting in this tableau, which remained untouched for the better part of the workday.
For once, I'm glad to be sure it wasn't me leaving half-done tasks strewn about. I've always been a write-it-down-or-forget-it kind of person, but I'm also frequently the one walking over toward the copier — or was it the kitchen? — and returning to my desk empty-handed... because I can't remember why I went that way in the first place. Ugh. That kind of forgetfulness is supposed to be charming, no?
Charming? Maybe.
ReplyDeleteA peek at what might be coming? Quite possibly.
Noooooooo! ;)
ReplyDelete...or Alzheimer's. ;-)
ReplyDeleteDamn - I thought I was the only one who walked into a room and said, "Well Shit - WHAT did I come in here for..."
ReplyDeleteI like to think that it is because I have SO MUCH on my mind that I can't remember the small things... yea - RIGHT!
Welcome to my world! And it gets only worse!
