I was on a 30-minute conference call at work yesterday, where one of the people doing the most speaking used the word "perspective" at least 15 times. "From a (this) perspective … from a (that) perspective … ." So I'm striving to remove it from my vocabulary.
As a side note: they want the shuttle back before New Year's because the onboard computers weren't set up to move from Dec. 31 of one year to Jan. 1 of the next while in flight?!?
Reminds me of saying the pre-dinner prayer at my family's home in Idaho recently. I'll bet that the phrase "Father God" was used 26,000 times in the minute it took to say the prayer. What's up with that? Let's branch out in our vocabulary!
