Aside from feeding my sudoko addiction, the customizable Google homepage entertains me in unexpected ways. One of the gadgets is called "Interesting Items For You," and it is presumably connected to my search history (and other gadgets I've installed on the homepage). Right now, though, its top-10 list of "Recent top queries related to [my] searches" is almost completely out of whack:
2. arnold palmer invitational
3. strawberry festival plant city
4. eric alva
5. florida a m
6. clay moore
7. christian chavez
8. disney wedding dresses
9. tim hardaway
10. signature pharmacy
Not a single item of interest, and almost none of relevance to my thinking. I do, however, want to peruse my search history and see what provoked the #1 item:
1. silver daddies
Silver daddies in Disney wedding dresses......
ReplyDeleteyou gonna wear one to our dinner tonight??????
Thanks for a great evening. Im still laughing at the fact that I have seen you around town for YEARS... and never met you. Feel free to join us for brunch; you have the number!
ReplyDeleteThat is just so bizarre.
ReplyDeleteGreat to meet you last night! Hope I wasn't too much of a freak. You looked a little scared.
ReplyDeleteI'd say call me and we'll do brunch, but we didn't swap numbers. Subtle.
:)
Not even Disney wedding dresses, just kidding! I'm a wedding photographer.

Kevin: Not scared; I try to pass "shy" off as "observing." And who said anything about swapping numbers?
ReplyDeleteDerek: Disney, yes. Wedding dresses ... not I, sir. (GRIN)
