Yesterday, Bj & I were chatting about selling stock (or at least not buying any more of a certain one), and she asked if I was looking at it like I was selling today, in 2003, 2004, or 2010. It threw me more than I thought it should, and I found myself pondering it the rest of the day. I came to the realization that I'm finding it beyond my ability to believe there will be a 2010, or that I would see it, and that I do not recall having this problem with 2000 or 2001.
This is not helped this morning by the fact that yet again, residents & visitors to neighboring cubes are obsessed with discussing the current political/health/military landscape, with viewpoints expressed that put Rush Limbaugh to shame (ostensibly, though, just to provoke others to argument). So I'm sitting here cranking the RENT soundtrack (well, okay, the 'highlights from' album) through my headphones to try and block out the conversation. (sigh)
