Not My Usual Blog Content

It is probably safe to say that I am not exactly an activist of national pride. Yes, I'm glad to live here, and I do my civic duty when called. But I am distressed to see how many people, out of apparent patriotism, are inappropriately displaying the United States Flag these days. The appropriate code appears to be located here, for your perusal. Notably, the flag is supposed to "...be fixed firmly to the chassis or clamped to the right fender" when displayed on a motorcar, not taped in car windows, nor attached to the antenna, and especially not if it becomes tattered from freeway-speed winds. The Steelers & Bucs flags I saw yesterday on the road were in better shape than most of the US flags, and I found it oddly disturbing.
