Is there anyone on the planet who actually speeds up when they look in their rearview mirror and sees another vehicle following so close behind that its grille is obscured by your own rear bumper?
And am I the only one who is sorely tempted to either (a) slow down to 1 MPH under the posted speed limit, or, on really bad days, (b) evaluate the potential for financial gain versus the possibility for physical pain, if I just slammed on the brakes?
