The Whole Tooth and...

Yesterday was Planned Visit Number Three to the dentist this year. Visit One was to define the "treatment plan," and Visit Two began the process of replacing some rather old fillings—two on that visit, one yesterday, and one yet to go. Just like last time, today my jaw is a bit sore—I dare say I'm not accustomed to having my jaw forced open that far for that long. (No comments from the peanut gallery, please.)

I have an unearthly fear of dental work, having suffered the slings and arrows rubber bands of braces in my younger days. In fact, <gulp> before this year I hadn't had a real dental visit in over seven years. This gentleman, however, manages to make me feel good, if only by insisting that, at 31, I'm still a "young man."

Side Note...
I realized again, last night, that Moulin Rouge may well be my favorite movie. Maybe I'm a total and complete sap, and maybe I just want someone to look me in the eye and sing love songs. In key.
