Any Wonder Why I Love 'Em?

I've talked before about my ongoing love affair with "Powell's City of Books" in Portland, Oregon. I'm now on their e-newsletter list, and opened my e-mail this morning to find the latest edition. It starts with a greeting that somehow just screams "Northwest" to me, but I'll let the literati amongst you decide whether this is really a regional writing style or if I'm just hallucinating.
PowellsBooks.news proudly features only the finest letters, raised with love on our organic alphabet farm in the foothills just west of the City. Fresh punctuation, shipped directly from the adjoining syntax annex, makes each edition an important part of our readers' nutritional regimen.
Of course, there is also the latest edition of the "fup the store cat" series, available here for your reading enjoyment. (Installment 59? I have some catching up to do.)

Portland is just far enough south of Seattle that I can't probably justfiy it as a side-trip while I'm there next month. Maybe a trip just to Portland is in order, too, this year.
