Saved By The Lack Of A Dollar

The nearby vending machine and I have become far too close of friends as of late. (Witness here, here, and here.) I just found myself standing in front of it yet again, craving something salty, when I realized I didn't have coins or a dollar bill to insert. Luck or planning?
