Frozen
Saturday evening, Dan convinced me we needed to go see Spider-Man. We got to the theater at 6:50 to find the next available showing in 6 theatres was at 9:15. We saw Ice Age instead (although we briefly pondered Lord of the Rings—we're a little behind in our movie-watching). While I'll agree the animation quality was impressive (and the trailer for DreamWorks' next full-length animated film shows they've learned a lot, too), I leaned over to Dan about 1/2 hour into the film and said, "I really hope this develops into a story soon." The puns and visual jokes weren't enough to save the contrived plot. In retrospect, I wish we'd saved our money and rented—or bought, given how expensive tickets are anymore!—a DVD to watch at home. At least there, I can fast-forward through the commercials before the movie.
