Dan is far from being a Pepsi-product fan. To his great dismay, everyone from United Airlines to just about every dining establishment on our vacation served Pepsi. At least he didn't have to specify "unsweet" when requesting his alternative beverage-of-choice, iced tea. I don't mind switching over now and again, although I was surprised at the number of venues serving Pepsi. Especially Red Robin, who, although I don't remember which product they used to serve, decorated part of their Pier 55 restaraunt in Coke memorabilia. Perhaps it's because I used to partake more of their "Master Mixology" (the alcohol-included Cookies 'n' Cream shake known as "Cookie Magic," for example) than in every-day soda pop.
Anyway, one person said "Well, Starbucks," when confronted with the omnipresence of Pepsi. Huh? Turns out that the Frappuccino you can buy in your local grocery is a co-production of Starbucks and Pepsi. Since Starbucks is based in Seattle, well, okay, maybe that explains it.
