Now I Remember

At work, I'm taking a 3-day all-day seminar with about 50 other people, all company-paid. It was contracted out to 3 professors from a relatively nearby university. Within an hour, I realized that I really do miss the intellectual discourse that comes with the world of academia. One of the professors did a quick lecture on some relevant models and postulates, and I was so hooked. Of course, the afternoon was pure overload, but what did we expect when you try to cram the "key points" of a semester's class into 6 hours?

Of course, lest the rosy glasses take over, I have to remind myself that a) there is no homework, papers, or tests — my three least favorite things about formal schooling — and b) this is taking place during as opposed to after work hours.
