Our employee convenience stores are running a promotion: buy something (anything!) and get a free, 25 exposure disposable (oh, I'm sorry, single-use, the parts are supposedly recycled, not thrown away) Kodak Advantix camera. Intent: get you to develop photos with them. They wouldn't even let me not take one just now.

All well and good, right? Except every one of these has printed on the back: Develop Before 01/2002. As I now know, January 2002 was seven months ago. Thanks, but....
