Heavy, Man

Perusing last year's blog entries, I came across this, where I boasted my all-time personal best weight-lift of 7,485 pounds. Actually, I was quite looking for that article, since on Saturday, I managed 10,040 pounds. (Note that this is a total of all repetitions and all sets in my routine — and there are three machines where I do 2 sets now, as opposed to last year where each machine was only 1 set.) It made me smile to cross the 10K barrier, even if I won't do it again for a while. See, I will be adding weight to a couple of the machines tonight, so although I'll lift more per rep, I'll do fewer reps. For now, at least.

This, combined with managing to keep my body weight down to my personal low most of the weekend (despite a large late-night Friday-night dinner at 'Ohana, and yummy snackage at Bj's annual Miss America Pageant Party), made me smile for a good portion of the weekend.
