Nice smile for the day: Opened my paycheck to see it is the first with the new raise (we haven't had raises around here since March '01). It's not much, considering my expenses have gone up more than the raise, but we'll take what we can get, and let it be a smile while it can be one.
The project I've been on since October is coming to a close (yesterday and today have been "purge, file, and sort" days), but only for us — our site is the halfway point for the whole company in a 5-year process. Today I recieved an invite to a meeting with members of the team who will be doing this project a year from now. Sometimes I gloss over that a part of me still thinks it's cool that I work for Disney — and this meeting reminds me of it, because we're meeting with the Director of Training and Development for ESPN, to help them get prepared for the work ahead of them. I'm certainly no sports-TV fan, but there's still a certain "cool" factor to working with people from ESPN somehow.
