At one point, Bj — I can't find it on her blog, so no link — thought she was going to take a business trip up North to a locale where the high temperature was something like 9°. Her response was, "that's not a temperature!"
I had a similar reaction last night when the weather forecast came on. I may have lived here for almost nine years, but 75° isn't a "low" temperature, even in July. It's a "high" temperature. The forecaster should not be able to say that temperatures will make it down to about 75 in the early morning. Even back home, on days when the high was in the 100's, the low was still in the 60's.
If I needed something else to make me look forward to my September trip, that monent was it. Or, as Bj incredulously said from her cell phone last week, when she called me from Disneyland on a glorious Southern California summer evening, "It isn't hot here!"*
