Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

I have never been one to "have a stylist." I hop from barber shop to hair-cut-place, going to one person as long as they keep me happy, but not developing loyalty. My latest "hair cut guy, " Ron, changed that — he also changed my style a bit, and I loved it, and he gave me 10% discount each time, too. This lasted just over a year.

Until today. He's left that shop, no one will say where. So today I went in to get a haircut, and walked out as shaggy as before, hair uncut, late enough in the day that no where else was open. <sigh> Honestly, for as much as I care about the whole thing, I'd be happy with a barber shop, honestly, but there was something comforting about not having to explain my haircut each time. At the same time, a gay man losing his stylist — for some, this would be major drama.
