HNYSOL

Is there a statute of limitations on how long one can/should use "Happy New Year" as a greeting? I had thought it might last a week, but was still hearing it yesterday. Even this morning, walking into work, I overheard two people using it as their greeting. Maybe it's lasting longer this year because we're so glad to be rid of 2004?

    Huum, I used it last night at T-dance, this morning I used it on a work email, so....ok I'll stop using it from this moment forward. jorge
    ps: happy new 2005! and only 5 days till you cruise out of Florida and into international waters.....

    I had a friend at work wish me HNY but that was because I hadn't seen her since the year before. I honestly don't know if there's a cut-off date for being able to say that.
