Do other countries put up outdoor Christmas displays to the extent people did in my neighborhood? How about in Argentina and/or Australia, which are experiencing the long days of summer instead of the short days of winter?
By the way, the holiday decór is now off display at our house. Still in boxes in the living room, but not on display.
I love Starbucks Christmas Blend. It's the coffee that got me into drinking just coffee (my first step was to spicy Ibarra hot chocolate, then Caffè Mocha), and in my book is the best they offer — followed closely by summer's Gazebo Blend and fall's Anniversary Blend. I was thrilled to find Target selling their remaining inventory at 50% off, so I'm set through early to mid February. Sometime next month I'll figure out what the next bean du jour will be, to fill the time until Gazebo's release.
While holiday coffee blends are good year round, egg nog, not so much. A simple trip to Publix tonight for orange juice and bread ended up including a one-more-time impulse buy of egg nog. After one little glass, I had to wonder, what was I thinking?
If I maintained a running "Over It" list, those magnetic Save Our Troops ribbons to slap on your car would be on the top of it. Especially now that someone figured out how to make the punch-out loop at the top of the ribbon create a negative-space Christian cross. It's this season's weather-beaten car antenna flag.
Ahh and I like your new picture on top of your blog :-)
ReplyDeleteTwo things I've never tried: coffee and egg nog. Care to invite me over for a tasting session?
ReplyDeleteAlas, our Christmas decor is still up - inside and out. Mark is the decoration-remover. He'll try on his next day off.
