When you work for a company whose ban on male employees having facial hair is well known (at least locally)*, and you go out to meet friends looking like this:

...you might be surprised how often you get greeted with variations on the "SOMEbody's been taking some time off!" theme. Like, say every time.
I was off Dec. 24-27, worked (and was presentably shaven) on Dec. 28, but have been off since. Back to work tomorrow, so off it comes.
*OK, technically, I can have a mustache. But keeping the mustache trimmed to above and between the corners of the mouth, as required, leaves me with a rather unpleasantly historical appearance.
Ahhh and you look very cute with it. Why no smile for the pic?
ReplyDeleteYes. YOU SHOULD SMILE MORE. ;)
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, your lips are more than life-size on my work computer.
Ahhhh, the days of growing a beard because my job wouldn't let me. LOL!!! Now I keep it all shaved because it makes me look younger because it was all turning prematurely gray.
ReplyDeleteStubble is sexy. ;-)
ReplyDeleteScott
No smile because I like having a beard. After Scott's comment, perhaps I like having stubble even more.
ReplyDeleteAfter Dewayne's big-screen comment... remind me NOT to check this post on the oversized screens at the Apple Store. Yikes. There comes a point where "full and luscious" can be taken too far.
Cola Boy: I may have a bit of grey in there, actually, but people are generally more distracted by the red beard on blond(ish) me. For now, at least.
