They Say The Mind Is The First Thing To Go. I Think.
My weekend started Friday with a slightly-behind-schedule dash home to meet up with Dan, before going to dinner at Sweet Tomatoes with Bj and Daniel. My phone battery was almost dead when I got home, so I had the bright idea to slap it into the charger while I changed clothes. We proceeded to leave, and halfway there, I realized that I was wearing the phone holster, but not the phone. And, of course, Daniel paged and called (both devices at home) and Bj called because we were late, so I had fun clearing out messages when I got home.
Saturday, on leaving the gym, I was pondering what I would do the rest of the day, and suddenly recalled Dewayne's housewarming (yikes! How could I forget? It was a topic of conversation Friday night, no less.). At said housewarming, I met my first mid-afternoon snack reader that I didn't already know. (Hi!) He linked to my blog from The Daily Dewayne, and Dewayne later pointed that I was his first I-don't-know-you-yet reader, so he's returning the favor.
Fast-forward to Sunday morning. I dash out of the house just a little later than I'd like for church. I hit traffic at I-4 and 535 (Rule #1: Don't get upset about things you should expect), and contemplate calling Dewayne to let him know I am going to church, but may be late. Shock: Phone (and holster, this time) are at home. Again. However, I did remember to grab my earpiece for the phone, so I can talk hands-free safely. If I had a phone. Which I didn't.
