Saving the Local Economy, One Shirt At A Time

So, Dewayne tells us he has given up shirt-shopping for Lent. I'm sure there are tons of things I could/should give up for Lent, but given I hadn't even heard of the tradition until college, it just never really occurs to me.

To read the article, this sounds like a major deal — I wonder if Zara will survive until Memorial Day? But most local retailers needn't be worried. Dewayne linked to a certain retailer, and hinted at a sale — which, of course, I had to check out. A quick post-dinner walk proved fruitless last night. Today's Outlet-mall journey, however, was a different story. I don't know how many shirts Dewayne would buy in your average 40-days-and-nights, but I'm guessing I've taken care of his quota for him.
